Zimmerman’s gun goes up for grabs, sadly: Your Say
Letter to the editor:
I thought I heard it all until I read about George Zimmerman trying to auction off the gun used to kill 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Are you kidding me? I can only imagine the pain and suffering the Martin family is going through. Now Zimmerman is opening up old wounds by saying he is "honored and humbled" to announce the sale of the weapon. I never believed an unarmed Martin was a threat to Zimmerman: he shot Martin not because he had to but because he wanted to. Zimmerman has had several run-ins with the law — including domestic violence and road rage — and he will probably continue to look over his shoulder, as trouble always seems to find him.

He’s an American hero. Zimmerman deserves every cent of the sale due to what the bias of liberal-news media and people like President Obama have put him through. Thank you, George, for making our neighborhoods safer.

Regardless of what happened that night, two parents still lost a young son. Zimmerman's actions are in very poor taste, to say the least.

I'm sure this man cannot get a job and has a boatload of legal bills ; this money has to last him probably the remainder of his life. It was a controversial case, but in the end he was found "not guilty" and can do as he pleases. I'm sure there is interest for this in the gun market.
