What did Bernie Sanders' meeting with President Obama on Thursday accomplish? Democrats hope that it helped push Sanders supporters into the Hillary Clinton camp in order to unify the party and ensure defeat of Donald Trump.

In reality, Sanders is still in the race, but he did inch slightly toward the Democratic Party's history making woman. After the meeting, Sanders reenforced his determination to do whatever it takes to defeat Trump. But the candidate also refuses to give up on taking over the White House.  He's so obsessed that he checked under the doormat for a spare key on his way out, according to late-night comic Stephen Colbert.

And hear the most important White House and campaign news straight from Obama at the end of today's Punchlines, above, as he slow jams the latest with late-night comic Jimmy Fallon.
