Trump crossed another line, but does it matter?: #tellusatoday

Trump needs to drop out and let Mike Pence run.

Letter to the editor:

I am a “stay in” Donald Trump supporter, since the beginning. I met him face-to-face, spoke with him and shook his firm hand. I am 69, overweight, not drop-dead-gorgeous and I still back his political stands.

OK, maybe I am one of his ugly, fat women, but that is a lot better than women supporting a lying, government-stealing, antiquated, Trump voters name-caller Hillary Clinton. She is one nasty, disrespectful woman who can’t even keep her husband at home taking care of her. Ever wonder why?

If nothing else, vote for the better of two mouthy people — Trump.

Trump knows how to say he is sorry. Whereas Clinton will never say she is sorry for her idiocy and irresponsibility in the Middle East.

Come on courteous and strong Americans, vote! And think first!

Letter to the editor:

Trump has been forced by Republican leaders, and voters, to apologize for his offensive behavior. He would not have done this on his own. Trump has never even shown a sign of empathy.

The problem is not just the words. His character, morality and decency are seriously flawed.

Action is now required, as words are just words. Now is the time to pull down your lawn signs. True conservatives have to withdraw their endorsements. Indiana Gov. Mike Pence needs to condemn Trump’s behavior and resign his vice presidential nomination.

Letter to the editor:

Trump’s apology sounded like what a 5-year-old would say about what he had done. It’s OK for me to assault women because Billy (Bill Clinton) did it too. Wow, juvenile behavior from someone who just doesn’t get what his words actually mean. Shame on him. His apology is almost as distasteful as the words on the tape recording.

We asked our followers what they thought Donald Trump needed to say/do to win over female voters.Tweets edited for clarity and grammar:

Trump should announce that he is dropping out of the race.

@UriBlago

Hold your head high, Trump. You aren’t responsible for any deaths. Ask about Benghazi!

@goodyear61

There is nothing Trump can say. Women with intelligence will recognize a sexual predator. He cannot become president.

@bestmurphymom

Most men know his decades-long comments are locker room banter and not intended to be demeaning to woman or go viral.

Trump needs to drop out and let Mike Pence run. Drop out with grace and let the Republicans try again in 2020.
