On Monday, the Electoral College did what some hoped it wouldn't, but most expected it would: Electors gave President-elect Donald Trump more than the 270 votes needed to take office.

And even though the 2016 presidential battle is finally over and there is nothing left to be won or lost, there are folks on both sides of the political aisle who are still complaining. Some Republicans are playing the California card, stating Trump would have won the popular vote, too, if you don't count one of the most populous states in the country. Conan O'Brien sticks up for California voters by taking a jab at Russia. Take a look at today's Punchlines, above, for his solution.

And Full Frontal's Samantha Bee has a message for liberals: Good effort, but complaints about the Electoral College had you kicking the ball toward the wrong goal.

Take a look at our favorite jokes on the Electoral College and Monday's outcome (including Bill Clinton's vote), in today's Punchlines.
