If it was up to comic Jimmy Kimmel, the country would have a new national bird (so long bald eagle). And Trevor Noah would like to see people celebrate at work by ripping their shirts off. What do these two wishes have in common? They are both inspired by the reaction of a Washington Nationals to D.C.'s team winning the World Series.

Beyond positive inspiration, Nats fans also weighed in on that other D.C. pastime — skewering politicians. Take a look at today's Best of Late Night, above, to see how one fan referred to the occupant in the White House, and why Stephen Colbert said a reporter should have seen it coming.

And speaking of the White House, what did President Donald Trump and members of his administration have to say about the World Series win? Somehow, they managed to take credit. Take a look, above.
