As if the Trump administration hasn't created enough chaos for the U.S. in the Middle East, now we've increased tensions (yet again) with Iraq.
After President Donald Trump ordered a hit on Iran's highest ranking general, the government of Iraq (the country we bombarded to accomplish that mission) asked us to remove U.S. troops from their country. Our response? OK. No wait, not OK. Errr ... sorry, error?
The Pentagon accidentally issued a memo agreeing to remove troops, then recanted the memo stating that its disclosure was an accident.
Jimmy Fallon summed it up best calling it a "kerfuffle." Find out how Trump responded when someone else described it the same way in today's Best of Late Night, above.
