Service dog saved his owner's life in an unusual way. Watch as he gets his reward.

When Allison Albin didn't wake up in the middle of the night, her service dog got creative — and saved her life.
Allison, 21, from South Lyon, Michigan, was diagnosed with Addison's disease, a rare disorder in which her adrenal glands don't produce enough cortisol and aldosterone. Her condition nearly took her life at one point, and her family worried about what her future would look like.
To gain some independence and a sense of security, Allison and her family looked into getting a service dog. That’s when they found Jasper, the 12-week-old golden retriever of her dreams.
Watch this good boy get a special toy after saving his owner's life!
For two years, Jasper was by Allison’s side. He attended college with her, went to her classes, and helped her graduate. His main responsibility was to monitor her blood sugar levels, especially at night when she was asleep and unable to monitor them herself. He was trained to wake her if her levels dropped too low so she could treat herself.
One night, Jasper sensed her levels were getting dangerously low. When she didn’t wake up to his usual nudges — pushing her wrist or touching her face — Jasper took matters into his own paws … or mouth. He gently put her entire foot in his mouth. It worked — she stirred awake to treat herself. Jasper had saved her, just in time.
The hero definitely earned an extra-special treat for his life-saving work!
