List: My favorite Globes moments

So who else has a Golden Globes hangover this morning? Granted, the show had several funny/memorable moments, so sitting through it wasn't nearly as tough as it has been in the past.

In no particular order, here are some of my favorite bits from last night (they go to 11). Add your own in the comments!

1. The Fey/Poehler opening monologue. We knew the women would rock the ceremony; my only complaint is we didn't see enough of them during the telecast. Highlights included Poehler's Kathryn Bigelow quip ("when it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron") and Fey's remark that Quentin Tarantino is the star of her "sexual nightmares."

2. Sam Fox. I know he didn't say anything, but Michael J. Fox's son just seemed like the nicest guy. He served as the evening's Mr. Golden Globe, escorting ladies off the stage.

3. Bill Clinton. I wasn't expecting to see Hillary Clinton's spouse, either. In the end, though, even the power of a former president couldn't defeat Argo.

4. Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell. Their entire riff on the best actress in a comedy/musical cracked me up, but the highlight may have been when Ferrell claimed Judi Dench "used to be a police officer."

5. Michael Haneke. OK, so the Austrian director's film, Amour, isn't exactly a comedy. But I had to laugh when my husband noted of his thin 'n' hairy appearance, "He looks like an old Kenny Loggins!"

6. Bill Murray's facial hair. Crown this man the King of Mustaches.

7. Damian Lewis. The actor is so good on Homeland that when he speaks in real life, it almost sounds like he's doing a fake British accent.

8. "Drunk" Glenn Close. I'm guessing this will be one of today's most popular GIFs.

9. Jennifer Lawrence. Her acceptance speech for Silver Linings Playbook was sweet, funny ("I beat Meryl!") and more mature than most would expect from a 22-year-old.

10. Damien Francisco. Sadly, Tina Fey's alter ego did not win for his riveting role in Dog President.

11. Jodie Foster's speech. Sure, parts were a little odd (random shout out to "Honey Boo Boo child"), but ultimately, it was one of the most moving Globes speeches I've seen. (Here's the transcript.) I hope she'll remain in the film industry for at least 47 more years.
