Cool stuff on DVD today: 'Argo' and more
As the Oscars approach, there's at least one must-see rental here. The rest aren't too shabby, either:
Release o' the week: Argo. Ben Affleck has picked up numerous awards for this flick. Could the best-picture Oscar be next?
- Game of Thrones: The Complete Second Season. Catch up before the addictive HBO series returns in March.
- Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake. These fun eps explore an alternate world of the animated series where our hero, Finn, is a girl and his canine sidekick, Jake, is a cat.
- Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome. If you didn't see the prequel online or on Syfy, here's another chance.
- Undefeated. The Oscar-winning documentary tells the uplifting story about young athletes from inner-city Memphis.
- For Ellen. Paul Dano plays an aspiring rock star and father in this touching flick.
- Naked City: 20 Star-Filled Episodes. So many rising stars appeared on this crime drama from 1958-63, including Dustin Hoffman, Gene Hackman, Dennis Hopper, William Shatner, Martin Sheen and Ed Asner. This set collects many of them.
- Top Gun 3-D. If you can't get enough Maverick, grab this set, which includes the film in 3-D Blu-ray and regular Blu-ray.
