Cool stuff on DVD today: 'Lincoln' and more
Tired of watching so many episodes of House Hunters? Here are a few other options that are now available:
Release o' the week: Lincoln. See another Daniel Day-Lewis performance that blew everyone away (and wonder if Meryl Streep could've done as good of a job).
- The Comedy. Tim Heidecker plays an irritating hipster in this film that isn't exactly a comedy and isn't super-easy to watch ... but it was certainly unlike anything else I saw last year. (Bonus: LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy co-stars.)
- Killing Them Softly. Though the Mob drama boasts a great cast (Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini), I must admit I was disappointed by the end result.
Also out: Veep: The Complete First Season, Star Trek Enterprise: The Complete First Season, Parental Guidance, Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out, The Borgias: The Second Season, Mystery Science Theater 3000 XXVI, A Man Escaped (Criterion)
Blu-ray highlight: Check out the 20th anniversary editions of Jurassic Park and The Sandlot.
Related news: Doctor Who: Series Seven, Part Two arrives May 28.
Next week: Expect the HBO flick Hemingway & Gellhorn.
