Ira Glass pops up in Thao Nguyen's new music video

You know I take any opportunity to mention Ira Glass on the blog, and while he isn't the best part about this music video, he's certainly a highlight.

In the new clip for We the Common (For Valerie Bolden), Thao & The Get Down Stay Down offer all we can ask for: an excellent tune (from a fellow Virginian!), a touching backstory (the song is inspired by a "poignant, candid and unshakable" talk with a woman serving life without parole) and a few cameos (Glass, John Hodgman, comedian Mike O'Brien).
