Video: Rdio blends new tunes, visual artists
Many of you already use Rdio to discover new tunes and musicians, so it makes sense the brand would branch out by spotlighting up-and-coming visual artists, too.
The service just launched something called "New Music Weekly," which combines a new song with an original video piece. The clips are only 15 seconds long, so they won't disrupt tiny attention spans.
This week's clip combines Michael Franti's I Don't Wanna Go with Tendril Design:
Here's one with Denver band Gauntlet Hair and I Love Dust:
And finally, hear gypsy punks Gogol Bordello (love them) and watch Blacklist duo Holbrooks, who have made some cool short animations:
New clips will be posted Tuesdays over at youtube.com/rdio. Rdio plans to run the feature for a whopping 52 weeks.
