A Complete Unknown is the Bob Dylan biopic. It follows Timothee Chalamet as a young Dylan who moves to New York with an immense amount of talent and a guitar to pursue his musical dreams. Dylan seeks independence and creative freedom in the musical industry and starts using electric instruments, eventually changing the landscape of music.

The film is starring Chalamet as Bob Dylan, Edward Norton as fellow-folk singer and songwriter Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning as Dylan's girlfriend Sylvie Russo, and Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez.

It debuted in late 2024, and has grossed over $105 million worldwide, according to Billboard.

A Complete Unknown has been nominated for dozens of awards already, but it is not having the award success of the other nominees for Best Picture. Here's a breakdown of award nominees and wins, so far.

The film was nominated for six British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Cast, Best Leading Actor, and Best Supporting Actor. However, it did not bring a home an award in a single category.

It was also nominated in the following three Critics' Choice Awards: Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor. It did not win at the Critics' Choice Awards either.

A Complete Unknown received three nominations at the Golden Globes, but did not bring home an award.

The film was nominated for four Screen Actors Guild awards, where Chalamet won the SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.
