Hate shopping for clothes? Wantable can deliver an expert-curated box of styles to your door

Start by taking a style quiz that'll help Wantable's style experts better understand your clothing preferences.

As much as I love updating my wardrobe, I'm often far less keen about the task of physically shopping for new clothes. The wide variety of styles! The hassle of actually going to a store! The pressure of trying on pieces in (often) unflattering dressing rooms! Sometimes the stress of clothing shopping can be so overwhelming, I'll just avoid it entirely—which is why personal styling services like Wantable have become such game-changing tools in my life.

Unlike other clothing delivery services, Wantable relies on a team of expert stylists to help curate clothing boxes based on each user's own style preferences that are then delivered right to their doorstep each month. It is essentially a more tailored approach to online shopping, with expert-backed picks that you can try before actually committing to purchase them. Whether you're looking for an easy way to upgrade your wardrobe for spring or could simply benefit from some extra styling tips, Wantable is a fantastic option that streamlines the process of shopping for new clothes.

Ahead, I break down how Wantable works, the benefits of the personal styling service and more.

How does Wantable work?

Wantable is a digital personal styling service that's designed to give people a more curated approach to clothing subscription boxes. When you first sign up, new users will take a style quiz that'll help Wantable's clothing experts better understand your personal style preferences. The quiz goes beyond just investigating your clothing taste, with questions about your spending tendencies and sizing proportions, all of which help ensure you receive more customized clothing picks that are tailored to your fashion aesthetic and budget.

Soon after, you'll then receive a delivery filled with seven pieces that have been hand-chosen by one of Wantable's stylists. These clothing items can range from comfortable jeans and dresses to sleepwear and lingeries essentials, activewear pieces and more—all depending on which themed edit you choose (of which Wantable has many). Users have five days to try on their Wantable items and make selections on the pieces they'd like to keep, or the ones they'd prefer to return. The service also offers free shipping and returns, so you can easily send back any unwanted pieces at no additional cost.

What are the benefits of using Wantable?

Wantable follows a "try now, pay later" approach, which gives you the freedom to try on stylist-chosen pieces at home, without having to pay an up-front cost for each one; whatever items you receive and don't want, you can simply send back to the stylists at Wantable and then provide feedback on your Wantable Edit that'll help make your next shipment more aligned to your clothing preferences.

The service is a great option for anyone who wants to outsource their clothing shopping to experts, as well as those who'd prefer to try on pieces within the comforts of their home—sans any time constraints or unflattering lighting. There are also themed Wantable Edits that users can choose from, including a Style Edit, Active Edit, Sleep & Body Edit and a limited-time ApriLight Edit.

How much does Wantable cost?

Wantable charges a $20 styling fee when you first sign up, but will return it as a credit that can go toward your Wantable Edit if you keep at least one item from your clothing box. The brand also offers users 20% off when you keep five or more items from your monthly shipment; the cost of the specific clothing items you choose to keep will vary by piece.
