Preorders for the new Nintendo Switch 2 came and went quicker than my dog chowing down on breakfast.

For those who stayed up until the midnight launch on Thursday, April 24 for the highly-anticipated gaming system, you were probably sent to a queue alongside thousands of fellow gamers to wait for their chance to purchase.

However, many were still left empty-handed. The new Nintendo Switch 2 was available for pre-order at Walmart, Target, GameStop and Newegg before selling out and actually crashing GameStop's website. For a bit of optimism, there's potential for the console to become available at Sam's Club ahead of the official Thursday, June 5 release date.
