How can I enroll in the Macy's Star Rewards program?

Joining Macy's Star Rewards program is free and easy. Simply head over to Macy's.com to create your account and you'll automatically be given the option to enroll in the Macy's Star Rewards program.

Tip: If you're a frequent Macy's shopper, I highly recommend signing up for a Macy's credit card as well. The Macy's credit card will automatically enroll you in the Macy's Star Rewards program, and it comes with additional benefits, such as points earned on purchases made outside of Macy’s.

What are the Macy's Star Rewards Program Tiers?

You can achieve different status levels within the Macy's Star Rewards program, each with its own advantages.

• Bronze: Free to join, earn 1 point per $1 spent.
• Silver: Requires spending $1-$499 annually with a Macy's Card, earn 2 points per $1 spent.
• Gold: Requires spending $500-$1,199 annually with a Macy's Card, earn 3 points per $1 spent.
• Platinum: Requires spending $1,200+ annually with a Macy's Card, earn 5 points per $1 spent.

Note: As you spend more, you will reach higher VIP levels (Silver, Gold, Platinum) with additional benefits such as free shipping and bonus points days. 

What is Star Money?

The points you earn on every purchase will accumulate and be rewarded as Star Money, which can be spent like cash on future purchases. Every 1,000 points earned results in $10 in Star Money. Star Money can be redeemed for merchandise at Macy's (excluding gift cards, services, fees etc.). Star Money is valid for 30 days so be sure you use them before they expire. 

Additionally, Macy's often offers up Star Money Bonus Days. These are special days when members can earn bonus points on top of their regular points. Star Money Bonus days occur sporadically and usually last between two and eight days. Star Money Bonus events are usually a surprise, so make sure you opt in for emails.

Are there exclusions for earning Macy's Star Rewards points?

The usual exclusions come with earning Macy's Star Rewards points. Some exclusions include purchasing Macy’s gift cards, services (e.g., Beauty Box and other subscription services, restaurants, salon services, alterations, etc.), fees, or sales tax; on purchases made outside of Macy’s or in any department that does not use a Macy’s point of sale register; or when redeeming Star Money, Macy’s Rewards Cards, or Macy’s gift cards.
