After three straight days of qualifying and preliminary racing, over 130 drivers have dwindled to 30 for Saturday night's inaugural Modified World Championship.
The driver who conquers tonight's 80-lap main event at Mississippi Thunder Raceway in Fountain City, Wis., will receive a whopping $100,025 check. The Modified World Championship purse total is over $300,000.
Among the star-studded lineup of drivers competing include reigning Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Ricky Thornton Jr., Cade Dillard, Tyler Erb and modified standouts Joe and Jim Chisholm, Rodney Sanders and Jake Timm.
