A few weeks ago, Swift teased a big announcement at 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12 and revealed her 12th album's title, cover and track list. The album was announced on the Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, former Eagles player, Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast.
In the video, Swift says "So, I wanted to show you something." Then, she reveals a mint green brief case with "T.S." written on it in orange letters, along with showing a blurred album cover.
"This is my brand new album: 'The Life of a Showgirl,'" Swift says excitedly in the video and the Kelce brothers know "All Too Well" about how to show their support. Travis yells "T.S. 12" and Jason starts cheering in the video.
On Wednesday, Swift announced that her new album will be released on Oct. 3. Swift revealed that her theme for "The Life of a Showgirl" was "everything that was going on behind the curtain." She also said her goals for the album were to focus on melodies that are so infectious and lyrics that are "vivid, crisp and completely intentional."
