UFC and WWE's TKO Group Holdings merger precedes high-profile layoffs


TKO Group Holdings, a publicly traded company owned by Ari Emanuel’s Endeavor Group, has been formed by the merger of WWE and UFC. WWE employees are bracing for a mass layoff.

An internal memo leaked on Friday, Sept. 15th, states that WWE president Nick Khan requested Stamford-based employees work remotely due to upcoming workforce reductions.

Recent reports claim there could be in upwards of 100 positions eliminated by the merger. This story will be updated as more information is made available.

List of WWE employees released after UFC merger

PWInsider reports that WWE has released Jamie Horowitz, who served as the Executive Vice President of Development and Digital since June 2021. Horowitz is the first of many WWE employees expected to be let go by the company.

Catherine Newman, WWE's Executive VP and Head of Marketing, has left. Newman was in charge of marketing, brand, community relations, entertainment relations, creative services, and photography.

Amanda Bloom, who served as WWE's Director of Enterprise Master Data and Governance for the past seven years, has departed from the company. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in creating the content data model that forms the basis for managing and analyzing Metadata.
