Marvin Harrison Jr.'s Ohio State touchdown celebration honors LeBron James

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. paid tribute to LeBron James by doing the silencer celebration after scoring the final touchdown against Maryland in the fourth quarter.

Harrison Jr. was confirmed "ready to go" before the game by Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff, despite speculation that he was dealing with an ankle injury he received against Notre Dame.

The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Maryland Terrapins 37-17 in Week 6. Harrison Jr. had a solid performance making eight receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown.

“My mind was focused on to come out in the second half and execute and have the quarterback trust in me to make big plays,” Harrison Jr. said during a postgame interview with Fox.

LeBron James, an Akon, Ohio native, has praised Harrison Jr. in the past, calling him the “best receiver in college football.”

Bryce James on a unofficial visit to Ohio State

James’ younger son Bryce James, a four-star recruit in the class of 2025, was on an unofficial visit to Ohio State and attended the game with Buckeye’s men’s basketball coach Chris Holtmann and his mother, Savannah James.

Although James did not attend college and went straight from high school to the NBA, he remains a big Ohio State fan.
