LiAngelo Ball has fans 'on lock' with new hit song; expected to perform at Rolling Loud

Former basketball player LiAngelo Ball is making a slam-dunk comeback among fans on social media after releasing a new catchy song.
Using the moniker G3, Ball released the song "Tweaker" as an exclusive on WorldStarHipHop on Friday. The song − also available on streaming platforms − has since earned nearly 4 million views on YouTube and has been widely praised by listeners.
"I might swerve/ Bend the corner/ Woahhhh," Ball sings at the beginning of the track.
Ball has 'the whole sports world on lock'
People have pointed out how the song evokes the early 2000s and called for Nelly to be featured on the hit. NBA players, including his brother Lonzo Ball, have been captured listening to it in the locker room.
"Been tryna tell yall @LiAngeloBall really like that More to come! #StayTuned," Lonzo said in a post supporting his sibling.
Teams like the Bulls and Brooklyn Nets have also included the song's lyrics in their social media content. A viral clip shows what appears to show a news reporter quoting the song while on air.
"LiAngelo Ball bringing back the Bling Bling era of hip hop by himself and he will be remembered," one person wrote on X.
"LiAngelo Ball got the whole sports world on lock with Tweaker," another person added.
Rolling Loud announced on Tuesday that Ball will perform at their popular hip-hop festival in Los Angeles in March.
Ball played in the G-League
According to Sports Illustrated, Ball previously played in the G League for the Greensboro Swarm, which is linked to the Charlotte Hornets. He also briefly suited up to play for the Hornets and Detroit Pistons in preseason NBA games.
His brothers Lonzo and LaMelo are in the league playing for the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets, respectively.
In 2023, LiAngelo Ball announced he was having a child with former "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood" star Nikki Mudarris. Last year, the couple shared that there was another baby on the way.
