It’s only fair that Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre compete against each other in a WrestleMania showdown.
The pair, who will compete in the Sin City street fight on Night 2 of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, had an exchange at last year’s WrestleMania in Philadelphia, which helped set the direction for Sunday's match.
Priest won the Money in the Bank ladder match in July 2023 and held on to the briefcase that held a contract for a championship opportunity. He cashed in that opportunity at WrestleMania 40 and won the World Heavyweight Championship.
McIntyre was featured throughout 2024 in what became the Feud of the Year for his work with CM Punk. Punk made his long-awaited return to the WWE, and it was met with displeasure from the likes of McIntyre and Seth Rollins. Punk made an appearance at WrestleMania 40 that proved costly for McIntyre.

McIntyre beat Rollins at WM40 to win the World Heavyweight Championship, but the celebration was short-lived after Priest cashed in his title opportunity and won the belt from McIntyre.
With this being a scheduled match for both men, it’s unlikely we will see any surprises this time around.
