Youth sports aren't what they used to be.

Paste BN spent seven months investigating what happened when the Dallas Stars, a $2 billion National Hockey League team, monopolized youth hockey in Texas.

Now we want to hear from you about the effect that corporate interests have had on youth sports in your area.

In North Texas, every level of amateur hockey — preschool through adults — runs through the Stars, who control eight of the 11 full-sized ice-rink facilities within 150 miles of Downtown Dallas. But in your community, the corporatization of youth sports may take a different form:

  • A sport your child is involved in has grown increasingly commercialized and expensive
  • A small number of people are getting rich off your local club or league, misusing funds or abusing conflicts of interest
  • You and/or your child have experienced threats and retaliation for raising concerns related to this behavior
