Harrison Ford will turn 83 this summer. On Super Bowl Sunday, he offered a little glimpse into his owner's manual on behalf of Jeep

The actor who soared to prominence more than 40 years ago with "Raiders of the Lost Ark" used his latest foray into Super Bowl commercials to offer up chestnuts on life and values and, as many are wont to do these days, leaning into differences among us providing collective strength.

"Pride," he says, "is a terrible driver."

Accompanied only by a gentle guitar track, Ford – he notes the irony of a Ford touting Jeep in the closer – stresses that freedom is the roar of one driver's engine, and the silence of another's. While those woken up by a faulty muffler in the middle of the night might beg to differ, Ford urges the viewer to "write your own" owner's manual.
