Adrien Broner, Shawn Porter on point for 144-pound catch weight bout

LAS VEGAS - Adrien Broner continued his antics at Friday's weigh-in and snubbed Shawn Porter when he extended his hand after the fighters both successfully made weight ahead of Saturday's NBC bout.

The fight has a 144-pound catch weight stipulation. Broner looked a tad dry at 143.5, while Porter tipped the scales at 144.

Shawn's father/manager/trainer Kenny was angry Thursday because he hadn't received the catch weight contract, but said he finally signed the deal Friday morning. And there's no 154-pound, next-day rehydration clause in the contract, which was expected to be part of the agreement, a welcome change for the naturally larger Porter.

BRONER ERUPTS: Taunts Shawn Porter and father at news conference

"I spoke to Al (Haymon) directly and he clarified and cleaned up anything. Al shut (the rehydration clause) down," Kenny said. "I didn't say anything, he made that decision."

Said Shawn: "I could have made weight last week. I feel great. I laugh at the fact I haven't been 144 in so long, yet I was able to make the weight easily and feel as healthy and as good as I do."

Porter said that he might rehydrate up to 154 by fight time, the original requested limit. He hasn't weighed 144 since he was 14 years old.

Errol Spence Jr. weighed 149, and late-replacement Phil Lo Greco weighed 152 for their co-featured bout.
