Tyson Fury, Wladimir Klitschko set for heavyweight title rematch July 9 in England

Since Tyson Fury shocked Wladimir Klitschko in November to wrest the lineal heavyweight crown, it was known there would be a return bout due to the immediate rematch clause in the contract.

But due to logistical issues with finding a date that would work for American television (HBO), British (BoxNation) and German (RTL), the second fight kept bouncing around from rumored date to rumored date. Finally, it's set.

They'll do battle July 9 in Manchester, England, it was announced Saturday. The venue, though, wasn't revealed.

"I'm the best heavyweight in the world and the rest are imposters to my titles," Fury, 27, said. "I am coming for all of them once I've dealt with Klitschko a second time."

"All of them" likely begins with WBC Deontay Wilder, should he get past Alexander Povetkin on May 21 in Russia in what promises to be his toughest test to date.

After Wilder knocked our Artur Szpilka in January, Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) rushed the ring and caused a ruckus which security had to keep under control. Since the fracas, fans have been anxious to see the two behemoths mix it up.

And then there's fellow countryman Anthony Joshua, the 2012 Olympic gold medalist who challenges for a world title Saturday vs. Charles Martin. Fury has been critical of Joshua on social media and a fight between the two would be massive in England.

But first, Fury must get past the future Hall of Famer again, far from an easy task. Although Fury did make it look easy at times during the first meeting which he won by clear unanimous decision.

"Boxing fans worldwide will watch this international mega event," Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) said, "and I'm looking forward to coming out victorious against Tyson Fury and regaining my heavyweight titles."

The setback was Klitschko's first defeat in more than 10 years. Fury's size and awkward stance gave Klitschko fits and he never seemed to solve it. Now 40 years old, he's been working hard in training to find a solution.

Fury ushered in a new, more exciting era in boxing's glamour division with the victory, but he'll have to do it one more time to maintain it.
