Kell Brook outweighs Gennady Golovkin 8 days before middleweight title clash

Kell Brook is the one moving up two weight classes, but he's looking like the bigger man.

For the second consecutive time, welterweight titleholder Brook outweighed middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin at a WBC mandatory weigh-in.

Brook tipped the scales at 167.8 pounds at the Wincobank Gym in Sheffield on Friday. GGG, training at his complex in Big Bear, Calif., weighed 162.9. Brook was also heavier at the 30-day weigh-in.

A picture posted by promoter Eddie Hearn this week showed that Brook's added weight is pure muscle:

From a photo shoot earlier this week.. @SpecialKBrook almost ready #10daystogopic.twitter.com/My020QhSe7- Eddie Hearn (@EddieHearn) August 31, 2016Golovkin has never faced anyone as good as Brook, but Brook was seen as the much smaller man, and thus, is given little chance to win. The Brit is about a 5-1 underdog. Is it possible Brook was boiling down to 147 pounds and truly has the frame to carry his power - and chin - to 160? If the two unofficial weigh-ins are any indication, we could have a real fight on our hands. The unified middleweight title fight will be televised live on HBO on Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. ET from the O2 Arena in London.(Photo of Golovkin, left, and Brook by Lawrence Lustig)//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js
