Floyd Mayweather's father says son will 'whoop' Conor McGregor

Floyd Mayweather Sr. joined in on the trash talk for his son’s highly touted Aug. 26 fight against UFC star Conor McGregor.
And like many boxing greats, the father of Floyd Mayweather Jr. believes McGregor will be embarrassed in the ring.
“Let me tell you something: Even if it goes the distance, (Floyd) is going to whoop his (expletive),” Mayweather Sr. said in a radio interview with Helen Yee Sports. “That’s what’s going to happen. Any way he wants to do it, (McGregor) is gonna get whooped. Ain’t nobody gonna say I’m wrong because they know he’s going to get whooped anyway.
"There are a few things that I want to do, and things that Floyd can do," Mayweather Sr. added. "We’re going to be able to touch him up real good.
“You can believe one thing, you all know who is gonna see something new in this fight. You’re going to see something that he hasn’t showed you yet. When he shows it, then you all will know it.”
Most of the boxing community shares Mayweather Sr.’s stance that the now un-retired Mayweather Jr., considered one of the best fighters of all time at 49-0 with 26 KOs, will easily defeat the inexperienced boxer McGregor.
Manny Pacquiao said recently he doesn’t think McGregor, an MMA fighter, is “comfortable in pure boxing.” And former 10-time champion boxer Oscar De La Hoya has called Mayweather-McGregor a “circus” fight for publicity that would put a “black eye” on the sport despite hauling in an enormous amount of money.
