Ahead of his highly anticipated fight against Jake Paul, Mike Tyson decided last week to post a short video clip to his Instagram account with Tupac Shakur's portion of the 2000 song by rapper Big L, "Deadly Combination," playing in the background. So there in a boxing ring again was the 58-year-old version of Tyson, looking just enough like "Iron Mike" as he bobbed and weaved, peppering the pads on his trainer with jabs and hooks.

"Final stretch," Tyson wrote as the caption. "Less than 50 days left."

The Nov. 15 Netflix boxing event at AT&T Stadium headlined by Tyson's exhibition bout with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake "The Problem Child" Paul is still on and finally nearing its final approach after months of waiting. A Netflix documentary series featuring Paul and Tyson will be available for streaming on Nov. 7. It will show Tyson's journey to get back in the ring, as well as Paul's preparation to face Tyson. The fight will be broadcast exclusively through Netflix.

This will be Tyson's first fight since his exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. A medical emergency suffered by Tyson initially led to a postponement of his matchup against Paul, which was originally set to take place on July 20. But Tyson now appears on course to go head-to-head with Paul in a stadium-sized spectacle promoters are advertising as a one-of-a-kind event.

What's the latest sign it's getting close to actually happening? One day after Tyson's workout video dropped, Paul posted one of his own.

Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Tyson-Paul fight, including the latest updates, odds and predictions with less than six weeks before the bell rings:

Jake Paul not concerned with Mike Tyson's health

After Tyson experienced a health scare earlier this year, causing the fight to be postponed by a few months, there was concern within the boxing community for him. Tyson experienced a health issue on a flight in May and soon announced his doctors recommended he pause training due to an ulcer flare-up.

Paul does not share the concern and claims that no backup will be needed for Tyson.

Answering questions from TMZ, Paul told reporters, "He’s doing great. He’s super healthy behind the scenes and feeling great. That’s what we’re focused on, and there’s not a backup currently."

"You can get seriously hurt or injured in there," Paul added. "So, if you’re not in there to go to war, then you should just get out."

'Fat' Jake Paul responds to Mike Tyson weight jabs

Paul reportedly weighs 230 pounds for this heavyweight fight, up from his usual fighting weight of 200 pounds, and Tyson called out Paul's new physique as "fat" during a news conference in May leading up to the originally scheduled date of the event.

"I don't know if he's in his prime. He's fat. He should be lean and mean and he's fat and funky," Tyson said. "I saw him with his shirt off though and he's fat."

Paul clapped back at the time that Buster Douglas was also fat and beat Tyson, and Paul has decided to lean into the narrative with his fight against Tyson nearing. Paul has posted a series of videos on his Instagram account training and wearing what appears to be a fake belly.

Predictions for Jake Paul-Mike Tyson

Teddy Atlas: 'Risky for Paul'

In a recent interview with Seconds Out, Teddy Atlas said: “The first couple minutes could be a little risky for Paul against a guy who was the youngest heavyweight champ and a guy with one of the greatest combinations of speed and power in the history of the heavyweight division. For one or two rounds, could it be a little hairy? Yeah. If he don’t catch him, or he don’t hurt him, then the gas tank starts to putter, if that happens, then the young man would have the advantage. Even a young man who’s far less accomplished in the game.”

PredictEm: Jake Paul

Loot Levinson writes: "I’m betting on Jake Paul at -195 betting odds. I think this Bovada number has a chance to dip with some casual money coming in on Tyson, but I think it’s the prudent move. Tyson can still move pretty well, but against a youthful guy who isn’t an altogether pushover, it’s just an uphill battle for a man his age, as much as part of me wants to be wrong."

Roy Jones Jr.: Mike Tyson

In a recent interview with FightHype, Jones — who fought Tyson in an exhibition in 2020, Tyson's last appearance in a ring — said he believes Tyson will win:

"It’s a young lion and an old lion. It’s a great situation for them. It gives Jake a chance with Mike being as old as he is. I think it’s a great opportunity for both fighters but I still think Mike is gonna be a little bit too much for Jake."

Adam Burke, VSiN: Jake Paul

Burke writes, "Paul is fighting a huge name here in Tyson, but it is hard to have any idea what to expect from the former champ. Paul’s youth and progression into being something of a respectable fighter are the reasons why he is favored in this bout. Say what you will about fighting MMA guys masquerading as boxers, but those are guys with good cardio and some more recent data points on fighting with their fists than Tyson."

Nate Diaz: Mike Tyson

In an interview on the ''All the Smoke'' podcast, Diaz said that while he respects Paul's youth, speed, and nothing-to-lose attitude, Tyson is still his guy. Diaz believes that the pressure that comes with Paul being expected to win could play a role in the result as well.

Jake Paul's most recent fight
