Canelo Alvarez vs. William Scull: Date, time and what we know
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Mexico's boxing star, has agreed to fight William Scull for the undisputed super middleweight championship on May 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Alvarez has finalized a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, as part of the Riyadh Season. Alvarez will aim to regain the IBF title he lost after choosing not to fight Scull last year, who was the mandatory challenger at that time.
Canelo Alvarez has an impressive record of 62 wins, two losses, and two draws, with 39 of those wins coming by knockout. He currently holds the WBC, WBA, and WBO titles in the super middleweight division (168 pounds), having secured his most recent victory over Edgar Berlanga in September. Notably, this will be Alvarez's first fight outside of North America.
Here is what we know about the eagerly anticipated Alvarez-Scull fight.
