Missouri to hire Houston's Mack Rhoades as AD

Missouri plans to introduce Mack Rhoades, formerly of the University of Houston, as its new athletic director

Rhoades would replace Mike Alden, whose resignation is effective in August. Rhoades, 49, in his fifth year at Houston after stints at Akron and Texas-El Paso, is considered a rising administrator. He was successful at Houston in raising funds to build TDECU Stadium, a $120 million project, and a $25 million basketball practice facility.

In the last two years, Rhoades hired Kelvin Sampson to resuscitate the Cougars' basketball program and lured Tom Herman, Ohio State's highly sought-after offensive coordinator, to take over the football program.
