Mike Bobinski moving to Purdue athletic director job from Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech athletics director Mike Bobinski is leaving the school to take the same job at Purdue.
Purdue announced Tuesday the hiring of Burke. He replaces longtime athletics director Morgan Burke, who has served in the position since 1993.
Bobinski came to Georgia Tech in 2013 from Xavier when he served as the chair of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee for the 2012-13 season.
Georgia Tech President Bud Peterson said a search committee will be formed to find Bobinski’s replacement.
