In my Final Four predictions, I predicted that Florida would beat Auburn in the first national semifinal. I predicted that Duke would defeat Houston in the second semifinal, setting up a Duke vs Florida national championship game.
Oops.
The Cougars proved us wrong in their thrilling comeback win over the Blue Devils, setting up a national title game against the Gators on Monday, April 7.
We aren't picking against Kevin Sampson's team again. Houston has had some close calls in the tournament, but the Cougars just keep finding ways to win with their tenacious defense and opportunistic offense.
L.J. Cryer and Houston will be able to get one more close win in the tournament on Monday with a victory over the Florida Gators in the national championship game.
