NCAA women's golf selection recap: Bracket, schedule for 2025 championship

The field for the 2025 women's NCAA golf tournament is set and was unveiled on Wednesday.

The NCAA committee announced the 72-team and 36-individual field during a live broadcast on the Golf Channel. The tournament is scheduled to tee off with regional play across six host sites starting on Monday, May 5.

Stanford, the defending national champion, is the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, while South Carolina, Florida State, Arkansas, Oregon and Texas are the other No. 1 seeds. The regionals will start on Monday, May 5 and run through Wednesday, May 7.

Each regional site will have 12 teams and six individual players (not on one of the selected teams) compete over three days for a chance to advance to the championships, which are scheduled from May 16-21, 2025, at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California

Conference individual medalists who are not selected on a participating team received an automatic invitation as individuals.

For the second straight season, the women's NCAA women's golf championships will be held at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California. Stanford defeated UCLA 3-2 to claim the 2024 national championship.
