The matchup between No. 7 Tennessee and Nebraska sets up a pitching duel between arguably the best pitchers in college softball: the Lady Vols' Karlyn Pickens and the Cornhuskers' Jordy Bahl.

Pickens has thrown the fastest of any pitcher in college softball, while Bahl has gone from being a star pitcher for Oklahoma to leading Nebraska to the brink of the 2025 Women's College World Series as a two-way star.
