No. 6 Texas and No. 12 Texas Tech, former Big 12 rivals who are undefeated in the WCWS so far, will face off in a best-of-three series that'll result in one of the programs taking home their first national title.
Texas Tech ace NiJaree Canady has carried the Red Raiders through the NCAA tournament, pitching all but one of their games and tossing each game after the regionals. Canady has allowed only four runs on 16 hits with 32 strikeouts across her last five starts (35 innings).
Texas ace Teagan Kavan has also been tremendous in the WCWS, tossing 17 innings and allowing two runs on nine hits with 12 strikeouts in starts against Florida and Oklahoma, along with a relief appearance against Tennessee.
