Week 15 deep sleepers: Stay on target with Sam Bradford

It’s the second week of fantasy football playoffs. Hopefully, you have plenty of depth on your roster to get through the week with a win. But if you are looking for a special play or need roster help, here are some under-the-radar players who could help your team. But remember, these players are risky fantasy plays given the other options likely available.

So let's get to our Week 15 deep sleepers from The Fantasy Greek.

QB Sam Bradford, Minnesota Vikings

Bradford has thrown three multi-touchdown games this season to keep up with pass-heavy teams such as the Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins. Bradford will likely do the same this week against the Indianapolis Colts' top-10 scoring offense. The Vikings' rushing offense is dead last in the league, so Bradford could throw the football 35 times or more. Against the Colts defense, that should translate into around 275 yards and two touchdowns.

QB Trevor Siemian, Denver Broncos

The Broncos don't have much of a running game either and they take on a New England Patriots rush defense that's ranked sixth. This means Siemian will also throw the ball plenty. Over his past four games, Siemian is averaging nearly 300 yards and two touchdowns per game.

RB Dwayne Washington, Detroit Lions

Washington made the most of his 16 carries last week, averaging four yards per carry and almost scoring a touchdown. With both Theo Riddick and Zach Zenner questionable for this week’s game against the Giants, Washington would be the team’s workhorse. While it’s not the greatest matchup, it’s not the worst either with the New York Giants allowing an average of 100 all-purpose yards and nearly one touchdown per game to the position.

RB T.J. Yeldon, Jacksonville Jaguars

With Chris Ivory potentially missing this week’s game, Yeldon would be the Jaguars' sole running back playing against a Houston Texans team giving up the 12th-most fantasy points to the position. If Ivory is out, Yeldon should touch the ball around 20 times, making him a candidate for 100 yards from scrimmage and maybe even a score.

WR Robby Anderson, New York Jets

Over the past two games with Bryce Petty under center, Anderson has outplayed both Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa by a two-to-one margin. Don’t be surprised if Petty continues to target Anderson heavily against a Miami Dolphins team that gives up more than a touchdown per game to the position.

WR Chris Hogan, New England Patriots

While teammate Malcolm Mitchell is getting most of the attention over the past three weeks, Hogan has outgained Mitchell on four fewer receptions. Hogan has also scored a touchdown in back-to-back weeks. The Denver Broncos' No. 1 pass defense will be out to stop Patriots wide receivers from top to bottom. Hogan is at the bottom. Tom Brady should throw at least two touchdown passes. One should go to Hogan along with 50 to 60 yards receiving.

TE Jermaine Gresham, Arizona Cardinals

Gresham has five receptions in each of the last three games. He has also scored a touchdown in two of his last four. The Cardinals play the New Orleans Saints in game that should see a decent amount of scoring. Strictly based on the numbers, Gresham should post at least 60 yards receiving for double-digit fantasy points in point-per-reception leagues. With Michael Floyd gone and John Brown limited, Gresham is a strong candidate for a score.

TE Garrett Celek, San Francisco 49ers

With Vance McDonald done for the season, Celek becomes the team’s new starter at tight end. In one of the games McDonald missed earlier in the season, Celek hauled in five receptions for 79 yards. He should do at least that against an Atlanta Falcons team giving up top-five fantasy points to the position in a game where the Falcons should run up the score and force the 49ers to pass.

Oakland Raiders defense/special teams

The Raiders have played their best defense over the last five games. This week, the Raiders play a San Diego Chargers team tied for most fantasy points allowed to opposing defenses. The Chargers have thrown the most interceptions (17) and lost the most lost fumbles (13). In addition, they've allowed the second-most defensive touchdowns and the seventh-most sacks (33.0). Last week against a Panthers defense missing its best player, the Chargers gave up five sacks and three interceptions.
