Podcast: Trio of All-Stars discuss their hitting philosophies
As baseball evolves, players are discovering that in addition to the art of hitting, there's a lot more science.
With the introduction of advanced metrics, such as those produced by MLB's Statcast technology, hitters can see what they're doing in a lot greater detail. Some are even using those metrics to help them improve their skills.
This spring, Paste BN Sports' Steve Gardner caught up with three All-Star sluggers -- Daniel Murphy of the Washington Nationals, Mark Trumbo of the Baltimore Orioles and J.D. Martinez of the Detroit Tigers -- and asked them about their approaches to hitting and their opinions of some of the new stats.
In addition, Steve also goes over some of this week's most important news for fantasy owners and his preparations for the NL Tout Wars auction on Sunday.
