Brett Gardner threw a ball towards his dad from LF
The sixth inning of the Yankees' game against the Dodgers had a very cool moment courtesy of Brett Gardner.
Gardner's dad, Jerry, was in attendance at Yankee Stadium seated down the left-field line. Gardner, knowing exactly where his dad was sitting, fielded a foul ball in left field and immediately turned to toss the ball towards his dad.
I'd say Yankee Stadium is a solid upgrade from the days of playing catch in the backyard. The moment only could have been better had his dad caught the ball.
While the ball was deflected before it reached Jerry, it's the thought that counts.
