showed up to a press conference looking like he was in a barbershop quartet

Cam Newton showed up to a press conference at Panthers' training camp in July sporting a fetching wide-brim hat that he very well could've stolen off a scarecrow. Since then, the stylish quarterback has proved that he is all-in on the head-gear-at-press-conferences look by continuing to wear hats specially made for him by Alberto Hernandez, a hat maker in Venice, California. It makes sense, I guess; he wears something on his head to do his job, why wouldn't do the same to talk about it?

Sunday's presser was particularly delightful, because he looked like he was in a barbershop quartet. A barbershop quarteterback, if will (sorry). The internet had some fun with it, as the internet is wont to do.

The hat itself even weighed in.

You know what, I love Cam's hats. People don't wear hats enough. No one takes enough risks anymore. So what if he ends up looking like a vaudeville star? At least he's keeping things interesting, unlike this guy:

Although after his performance on Sunday, piling on Kirk Cousins for what he wears is just adding insult to injury.
