Furyk gives emotional speech after winning award


Jim Furyk has managed to do something few people in golf have ever accomplished: He's been consistently one of the tour's best players for the better part of 15 years. He's won one major along the way, shot two sub-60 rounds (the first PGA Tour player in history to do that), and last month, captured the Payne Stewart Award.

Furyk officially accepted the award on Tuesday ahead of the season-ending Tour Championship, and in his speech, followed with exactly the kind of thoughtful, emotional, and enlightening message fans will have come to expect from Furyk:
