Dak Prescott has a great strategy for dealing with his newfound fame
Dak Prescott, the Cowboy's rookie quarterback, has been attracting attention when he's out in public. I guess that's what happens when you turn out to be remarkably good at your first job out of college and your first job out of college involves quarterbacking an NFL franchise.
Here's how Prescott is dealing with his newfound fame:
Dak: "I guess I've been noticed more lately. People in the drive-thru ask if I'm Dak. I tell them no, then tell them yes as I drive off."
SCENE:
Prescott pulls up to a Wendy's drive-thru. Rolls down the window.
Prescott: "Um, yeah, hi, I'll have the jr. bacon cheeseburger, baconator fries, and a bacon cheese baked potato. Oh, and 50 ketchup packets."
Wendy's person: "Wow, that's a lot of bacon. Okay, coming right up - hey, wait, aren't you Dak Prescott?"
Prescott: "No, I'm Schmak Schmescott."
Wendy's person: "Got it. My apologies Mr. Schmescott, you look just like Dak."
Prescott: "I get that a lot."
Wendy's person: "Anyway, here are your million pounds of bacon, that'll be, like, $4."
Prescott hands over money. As he drives away, he yells "PSYCH, I AM DAK PRESCOTT! JOKE'S ON YOU, WENDY'S!" and throws ketchup packets out the window as he merges from the strip mall entrance onto the huge, sprawling, Texas road.
