Meet the 2016 Ryder Cup's most passionate USA fans

The 2016 Ryder Cup is full of absolutely insanely passionate fans for both Team USA and their European counterparts.

But these guys might take the cake.

Look at those uniforms - the horned helmets with flags attached, the sweet hockey jerseys …

Heck, they've even got their own fight song to sing, adopted from the Minnesota Vikings' Skol Vikings:

Meet the American Marshals. Here's their story from Golf Week, which includes a connection to the late NBA head coach Flip Saunders:

Cal Franklin is their ringleader. He's a member at nearby Medina Golf and Country Club and attended the 2008 Ryder Cup at Valhalla with a bunch of friends, including the late Flip Saunders, former NBA player and Minnesota Timberwolves coach. They loved the spectacle of it all but something was missing.

"Most of the Americans were sitting on their hands. Flip said, 'We've got to change this.' Something had to be done," Franklin said.

Thus, the American Marshals were born. Off they went to Wales in 2010 outfitted in Vikings jersey and Helga horns and braids made famous by their city's football faithful. Simply put, it made it easier to find each other.

Saunders died in late 2015, but his spirit lives on in the Marshals, who have been deputizing supporters ever since.

Can they will the U.S. team to its first victory since 2008? If they do, you can only imagine the reaction.
