Noah Syndergaard sends saddest tweet after loss

Noah Syndergaard did all he could to deliver a Wild Card win to the New York Mets on Wednesday night, but it wasn't enough as closer Jeurys Familia gave up a ninth-inning home run to Conor Gillaspie in a 3-0 loss.

Syndergaard - known for being one of the better tweeters in all of baseball - let out his feelings on Twitter in the early hours of Thursday morning with what's probably a perfect way to sum up the loss, baseball and maybe life, too:

It's the 21st century equivalent of "Wait 'till next year!"
