Skip Bayless : Romo got better after breaking up with Jessica Simpson

You may have heard Skip Bayless and Dez Bryant got into a Twitter beef on Wednesday. Bayless and Bryant were arguing over the former's Cowboy fandom and the dispute ended when Bryant posted a tweet from 2009 in which Bayless claims not to be a Cowboys fan:

On Wednesday, Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discussed the incident on FS1's Undisputed, and the conversation took a bizarre turn:

"I was also very down - in that period - on Tony Romo, because of his tumultuous relationship with Jessica Simpson, which I thought was affecting his ability to focus and dedicate himself to playing quarterback. Soon after that tweet in '09 - just before, actually - Tony had broken up with Jessica. And he started to play better, and I started to drive the [Cowboys] bandwagon down the stretch."

Sharpe had the perfect response to Bayless' rambling:

"Skip, that's unfair that you put that on Jessica Simpson."

The look on Sharpe's face says it all.
