6 low-effort Halloween costumes for sports fans
Some good news: Halloween is still nearly two weeks away, which means at this point you're still planning ahead if you want to be ready for the holiday. Here's a few sports ideas we have:
1. Vintage touchdown celebrations
Requirements: A Terrell Owens jersey (available here) and a box of popcorn (that's on you to find).
2. Curse of the Billy Goat
A goat costume is available on Amazon and we recommend adding a Cubs jersey or t-shirt as well, but you cannot wear it if you live in Chicago because that's mean.
3. Shirtless J.R. Smith
He made a t-shirt for this moment. Just grab a trophy too and you're looking at the best summer ever Halloween costume.
4. Trevor Bauer's finger
A Trevor Bauer jersey (or t-shirt with his number in tape on the back) and some bloody scab makeup (available here) should do the trick. Just don't try to pitch a key game in the ALCS with it on.
5. Party at Napoli's
What started as a poster-board sign created by a fan morphed into a t-shirt and then a rallying cry for the Indians' postseason run (and a great fundraiser for the Cleveland Clinic.) All it takes is a t-shirt, a party hat and for the Indians to go to the World Series, which isn't something you can buy before the holiday unfortunately.
6. Jim Harbaugh
This was done last year by five dedicated Michigan fans. All it takes is some pleated khakis (preferably from Wal Mart), a Michigan shirt and a baseball cap. And maybe a glass of milk.
