Jets run beautiful trick play for TD
And the award for the most beautifully designed play of the 2016 season goes to … the New York Jets?!?!
That's right. The Jets busted the old "Hook and Lateral" play but put their own creative spin on it. Instead of having the pitch man run a "hook" route, he ran a screen. The result was a work of football art:
Brandon Marshall takes the pass and flips it to Bilal Powell for a walk-in touchdown. The unsung hero here is Quincy Enunwa, who pulls off a difficult block and clears the path for Powell.
Jets offensive coordinator Chan Gailey deserves some type of award for drawing this one up.
