The 7 lamest college football rivalry trophies

It's Rivalry Weekend in college football, which means we're in store for some memorable games, but it also means we'll see some of those quirky trophies passed around afterwards.

Some of them are cool - the Paul Bunyan Axe is pretty awesome - but quite a few are sort of lame. And after playing such an intense game, shouldn't you get to hoist a sweet trophy? Here are seven of the lamest trophies.

7. The Land Grant Trophy

It's big, bulky and weirdly designed. Sorry to whoever wins the Michigan State and Penn State matchup.

6. Platypus Trophy

Oregon-Oregon State is always fun, but the trophy's just okay. Platypuses are cool though.

5. The Bronze Stalk

Sorry, Northern Illinois and Ball State fans. This one's too corny.

4. Old Wagon Wheel

I just played in the Utah State-BYU game and all I got was this enormous old wheel.

3. Battle of I-75 Trophy

This goes to the Bowling Green-Toledo winner. Meh.

2. Iron Skillet

The TCU-SMU winner gets cookware.

1. Old Brass Spittoon

Ew. Michigan State and Indiana battle over this thing.
