Chattanooga gets fire department to simulate rain

The Chattanooga Mocs - the team I "adopted" for this college football season - continues to prove they're one of the most awesome programs out there and no one can argue otherwise.

Alright, I'm biased. But even you have to admit this is pretty smart and sort of funny: The Mocs will play their FCS playoffs second round matchup against Sam Houston State on Saturday. The forecast, as of Friday afternoon, calls for a 100 percent chance of rain.

So how do you simulate the conditions? It's just like pumping in crowd noise before going to a loud stadium, only replace the crowd with water from a fire hose:

Anything to win a playoff game, right?
