Teammates ejected after fighting each other

Two players on Preston North End F.C., a second-tier English soccer team, were given red cards for fighting against each other toward the end of a 2-1 loss on Saturday. That's right. Two players on the same team were ejected because of how angry they were with each other.

The team's manager, Simon Grayson, has played and coached soccer for more than 30 years. Afterwards, he said he has never seen teammates thrown out for arguing before, and he called the incident "ridiculous," "unacceptable" and "stupid."

This was the reasoning for the outburst from the players who were given red cards, per The Telegraph:

With Preston pushing hard for a late equaliser, Doyle reacted angrily after Jermaine Beckford turned down the opportunity to play him through on goal.

It was something that simple.
